They tell me my heart is all fucked up and call it, Left Transposition of the Great Artery LTGA, for short. It's not so much a disease rather a birth defect. Luckily, and most uncommonly, my heart corrected itself before birth. All it means is my heart valves aren't where they should be, my heart leaks minute traces of blood, and something about my electrical system being backwards. (so when they hook me up to EKG's or whatever, the lines aren't where they're supposed to be and it practically reads that I'm dead. Any doctor that doesn't know what I have is always baffled to no end.)

It sounds a lot more serious than it is though. I take some pills, may need surgery in the future, and I blame my ridiculous skinniness on this as well, but other than that... I'm healthy.

But most noticable, I have a wierd tendency to either twirl my hair between my fingers or to pull a bit in my mouth and begin swirling it with my tongue. It is beyond my control, happening on impulse. I don't even notice I'm doing it until I've been doing it for about five minutes.

Have it ever occured to you that that might be solved by cutting your hair?

Minor paranoia,
I freak out when I'm too hot,
I have some vision problems (but I don't have glasses :\ )

I think that's about it.  I'm relatively normal physically.

Hmm...
This electrical thingy sounds interesting...

And another thing to add to my list:
My eye's flip the hell out sometimes,
I go all unfocused and then it refocuses again really fast.
It's alot more painful then it sounds.

Ed, you win for being the first person to totally agree with me about fake diseases being fake. Can we add clinical depression to the list?

Yes, yes, oh god yes!

Clinical depression is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain or hormonal disturbance. It's real. The " clinical depression" that many emo kids suffer from is actually called "being sad about stuff".

I get crushing downers a lot, but I'm fairly sure that's because the people around me are faggots who keep causing problems that I'm required to solve.

Story of my life.

Real depression is real, depression requiring medication is fake.

Real depression is real, depression requiring medication is fake.

Surely that should be the other way around?

With proper clinical depression you need drugs to even out the imbalances and such. Fake depression, ie "being sad about stuff" goes away on its own once you discover that you have a penis and the internet and you don't need anyone else.

Or something.

Both sides of my family have chemical imbalances in the brain.
My dad's side has Manic Depression and my mother's side has Bipolar Disorder
Luckily for me I got hit with the full brunt of both!
Random rage flashes are SO fun...

Those are the same thing.

Manic depression is the old name, bipolar disorder is the new version.

Foil'd.

They are technically different things, although both are in the same bipolar spectrum
My dad gets different kinds of episodes then my mom
My dad gets sad, my mom just freaks the hell out

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder

Quote
Also called bipolar affective mood disorder until recently, the current name is of fairly recent origin and refers to the cycling between high and low episodes; it has replaced the older term manic-depressive illness coined by Emil Kraepelin (1856–1926) in the late nineteenth century.[1] The new term is designed to avoid the social stigma associated with the conflation of "manic" and "depression."

Weird...
That was the same article I looked at for awhile trying to figure out what to say next...
What I was trying to say is that my dad and me mum both have different kinds of bipolar disorders and I got hit with both of them at full speed
And I got that notion from the fact that my dad's pills say "Used to treat Manic Depression" or something like that on the bottle.
So yes, you win
Congrats
