One of the computers at my college (more specifically the one I have to use, gah) has this problem and it's running XP. I think it's more of a hardware problem than with the operating system.

Is this a new computer? Or is it an old one that you've just installed Vista on? And did it start doing this right away or did it only start after you used it for a while?

I'd recommend reinstalling or updating your monitor drivers, or turning up (or down, I'm not sure which - probably up) your monitor's refresh rate. Should be in Control Panel.

That's good to hear.

If you can get the monitor repaired, it might be cheaper than buying a new one, but some places charge too much, so I don't know.

Glad to be of help.

I'm also about as serious as one. How awesome that I can be compared to such a marvelous invention!
