Using in Game Maker
« on: December 28, 2008, 12:16:30 AM »
Since I'm new at sprites and game making and stuff don't poke fun pleasee. I used the tall character, but I'm not sure how to separate it into single sprites like game maker wants. What dimensions should they be to get it equal? They should be aligned in a square grid right?

Here's a fancy trick I learned
Take the image in edit mode, while creating from sheet
Note how wide it is
Take the pixel amount and divide that number by how many sprites there are across
Do the same for heighth, and there you go
That's how big the sprite is

in GM just start a new sprite, and then under "EDIT SPRITE" select "Create from strip"
add in the correct parameters, and it does this all for you
