No, that means the topic has no further purpose and off-topic posts after that are pointless. If you want an off-topic discussion, take it to PMs or Messenger. By your reasoning we may as well have no separate threads and boards, just one big imageboard where people can post whatever. Let's be 4chan.

Everyone is far too eager to complain about little niggly things.

That topic has the purpose to entertain us. It's all of all, it's not "The Serious Business of Today and Yesterday."  No, I don't want to take it to PMs or Messenger, I want other people to join in into the fun, because this is a FORUM. A forum where more than one can post. PMs are PRIVATE  MESSAGES and messenger is quite personal too. You should be able to have FUN, like we did. Who's the only one who ruined it? Old mister grumpy over there, Dragonium.

And no, this isn't an imageboard so it shouldn't be like 4chan. We have seperate boards and threads to seperate each section. It's not as chaotic as 4chan, it's not even like 4chan, it's harmless fun. But I guess mister grumpy over there doesn't understand the word FUN. We shouldn't suffer because you don't like it. If you're going to lock topics for silly reasons like yours then you should be stripped of your moderation title.

LEARN TO INTERNET AND HAVE FUN DRAG. You old piece of doggy poopoo.

Off-topic posts are semi-acceptable if they are all based on a similar theme - in that case, a new thread should be made for discussion of the new topic. Off-topic posts are unacceptable when they are spam or generic off-topic discussion. Otherwise the board gets cluttered. Of the two threads I locked (HEY THIS COMPLAINING ABOUT LOCKED THREADS SOUNDS FAMILIAR RITE GUISE), one was completely pointless, and the other had been off-topic for two pages and remained off-topic after I warned everyone about it. Both perfectly valid reasons. I'd appreciate some outside opinions, given that you and Grandy seem to be the only ones with a problem.

Oh, and please don't harken back to the grand old days of yore when Charas was fun. You are forgetting how strict Ghostclown was, and the forum is still alive and with the majority of its memberbase still active. Those nostalgia goggles look silly on you.

If the old thread is done, then why not move on to a similiar topic in the same thread. It's not crazy what we're talking about, it's not about breaking the rules. And you should not talk about spam because you never seem to post anything lately that isn't just bitching about us having fun. That's the only spam that's bothering around here.

And about the good ol' days, silence you. Cause you're acting you're going to end just like Ghostclown. And who left? Ghostclown left. And even though he might have been strict, I can't remember him harming our harmless fun. You are.

Again, you may as well just have one big thread and change the topic title accordingly. We have separate threads for a reason. That way, distinct, enclosed discussions can take place parallel to one another. If you stop using separate threads everywhere suffers.

And once again, I'm just keeping order. If you'd rather the place was filled with spam, that's your decision. I seem to recall that's why Unmod was closed down. Everyone decided it was for the best. You two are the only ones I've seen with an issue here.

You're just asking me to make a thread about every off-topic thing there is, are you? Because I will. I will make a thread for everything that goes off-topic and it won't be that perfect little forum you think it would. Especially not with that first page so fucked up small as it is with all those stickied ones.

I was referring to putting distinct, worthy discussions in their own threads. There's no benefit to having a completely different serious discussion in the same thread as another different one which has just finished. Make new threads for those. The posts which have zero topic have no place in a serious on-topic thread. You don't seem to understand what constitutes "off-topic".

There is a subtle and beautiful difference between me posting once in a thread which is at the top of the board immediately before I lock and junk it, and everyone posting heaps of crap into a bot thread, putting it on life-support at the top of the board for 12 hours when there are no mods around to step in and slap everyone about a bit.

You are far too eager to complain. Stop being different for the sake of being different.

I aways only post on bot threads that are on top also, so there's really no difference at all.

Do you lock them and remove them from the board immediately afterwards?

Gimme mod powers and I will.

OR

You could just not post in them and lock them.

It's just the hypocrisy which pisses me off.

Dragonium, you're going off topic. Make a thread of your desired topic or PM Grandy but don't spam up my thread.

If I recall, most posts I've seen locked contain a post by the mod saying 'locked.' That's the way it's been done for a while.

It's a different situation. I'm posting, if I wish, and then closing and moving the thread so that it's removed from the board. If people post but the thread stays where it is, it's not helping, it's just contributing to the spam. Ignore it if it upsets you that much. Nobody's asking you to trawl through the Junk Bin checking up on things.

Your troll might be more convincing were my name not in the topic title, and were my moderating methods not the topic of discussion.

Now are we done here?
