I used to listen to all that metal stuff. Now I've mellowed down and prefer classic rock/funk rock like Hendrix, Chili Peppers, Led Zep, Cream etc. When I listen
to my old music now I wanna kill myself.

I find your intolerance disturbing. Some folks (like me) are fully capable of enjoying more than one music style. We end up winning out in the end, because we don't have as many situations where we're unhappy with the sound around us.

Also, some of those bands are considered heavy metal. You didn't think metal was always about murderous demons intent on destroying mankind, did you?

If you listen to some of the harder stuff, like death metal, black metal, grindcore, etc., then yeah. But "mainstream" metal like Metallica? Bah, they're just trying to ACT like they want to perform Satanic rituals and stuff.


I used to listen to the radio a lot when I was younger, but then I realized all of the radio stations in my area sucked. So I switched over to techno and OCRemix. I have a lot of classic rock and stuff on my MP3 player, but compared to the sheer amount of game music and remixed game music, it's not much.

I like a lot of different styles. I always have; ever since I stopped listening to the radio and found out A LOT of good music exists and doesn't get played on the radio

B, If people think an artists album is better than one you like, they are not inferior. People like different things for different reasons; Stop trying to make people more like you by trying to make them like what you like.

I had good taste when I was young.
I don't really discard things I used to like, I just add more to mai collective     Cept Pokemon... If people didn't convince me It was for kids, I probably would have liked it a little now...
Sigh... Actually I probably would have stopped liking it after the original 151...  But they totally had to milk that billion dollar cow... How many are there now btw?
