Music video contest
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:51:28 AM »
Well, a more serious thread by Drace because I had a nice idea. I know this is an rpgmaker board and all, but everyone seems to have different talents here, so I thought of the following.

A music video contest.

Now, the idea is simple. Enter with a music video that fits to the theme. The style of music, be it rap or metal, I don't care. The video itself, be it anime or american cartoon, movies or tv series, I don't care. As long as it fits the theme it's a qualified entry to this contest. There should be an average length to the music video and such, but that's to be discussed later. Also, the music video should be special made for this contest and cannot be old work.

First, I wish to ask all of you if this is, of course, a nice idea for a forum like. I want to add that I won't be judging because I want to enter it myself, so gemini can feel free to enter if he wishes.

If there are five contestants who wish to enter, please state so here. I want a minumum of five before I make an official thread.

Contestants

1. Drace
2. MT11
3. Ed
4.
5.

Custom music or existing music?

Doesn't matter. As long as it has music + singing / rapping / whatever. Instrumentals + voice.

I don't like the theme idea. How can you make a video that perfectly fits a piece of music if you're constantly worrying about adhering to a theme?

I'd try and enter though, it'd be neat. Dunno what I'd use to make the video...

I'll join. But I've never made one before. Might give me motivation to do so.

To Moose: Might remove the theme idea.

To Lucas: Screenshots are okay, but moving pictures do make it stronger.

Well, themes could work if they're broad. Such a 'a Character's death', 'friendship', or 'humor.'

Something broad, yeah. That was what I meant. Not like "this and this and this and this" but more like "something like this".
