So...I just think I had the most epic fourth of july ever.
« on: July 05, 2009, 06:50:33 AM »
Halfway through our show a mortar fired into the box with the rest of the mortars.
About a dozen or so mortars blew off at the same time and exploded on the ground.
A video got caught, so I'm going to await news on YouTube and try to get it over here.

How was everybody else's fourth?

We blow **** up. This is always justified, but most local laws refuse sale unless it's one of two specific holidays.

The other is New Year's Eve.

I ate two hamburgers, did work for everyone else who was too damn lazy to do it themselves (I'm starting to wonder how long it's been since I've seen my dad clean the grill), fixed my computer (yay), and reaffirmed my hatred for the camera/movements in Super Mario Galaxy.

Seriously, I died several times because the camera tends to go to awful spots and lock in place, and the movement controls become almost unusable once the game decides it's time for roundish objects to meet revolving gravity.

Too bad about those things, though. The rest of the game is pretty alright.

I'm in Mexico. I slept, ate stuff, listened to music, and sat on the computer. Varying in order, and occasionally overlapping.

But I make it sound too interesting.

Did I mention the intense heat and extremely dry conditions? I'm certain I did, oh yes.

Yeah, my front lawn is made of hay. The cold water is hot water, and the hot water is able to boil macaroni once it cools down. Our air condition is set for about 75°, and it's still about 90° in here. A man died because his air condition unit broke down for one day. Electric companies can't shut off people's power for missed payments because of the chance of deaths.

It's hot. I'm waiting for boiling rain to cook small animals and water my hay.

The day America adopted the Declaration of Independence, making us an independent nation from Great Britain.

And actually, if I'm right, it was just the day it was signed and adopted. Britain had not yet seen it. I could be wrong. Correct me if I am.

Today, it's an excuse to be fat, lazy, and patriotic. Every other day in America is just an excuse to be fat and lazy. Personally, I went out with my family to this giant outdoor shopping mall called the Louisiana Boardwalk. It's awesome. We then went to Taco Bell for lunch (which doesn't seem very patriotic at all), went back to the Boardwalk to take pictures, and then went to the theater there that I work at for free tickets to see The Proposal. Before it started, my sister said she needed to use the bathroom. In actuality, she didn't. She left and we didn't hear from her until about 3:20 (-6:00 CST) this morning. The movie was very good :)
