Desolated - Inn

This RP is based on a story I have yet to write out fully, but meh to that. It'll make a good RP.

First up, some rules. If you disagree with these rules, don't bother.

1) Drace is the "dungeon master" until he appoints a different person to be this. This doesn't mean I am in full control of what you do, not at all. I can't force your character to take actions or to say things, but I can trigger certain events worked out in my head for the cause of story development.

2) As stated above, no one can force another person's character to do anything.

3) Every player only gets ONE single character. This is for the sake of the story. If you let your character die for whatever reason, you are out.

4) No godmodding, super powers or otherwise supernatural powers for ANY character. No exceptions. They're all human.

5) Follow up from 4, no abnormal amount of "great characters". Every character has to have their flaws, physically or mentally.
All our characters come from our Earth, our time. Thus, they can have jobs ranging from plumber to soldier. I do not approve of too many of the same-like characters. This is to balance the RP so we don't have an army of soldiers.

Story

"This is Daniel Davis, twenty-nine years old, inhabitant of the United States of America. I am recording this because it could be the final message I will leave behind. I don’t know how long I can survive here or how I can get home. That is, if I can get home. I don’t know the date is, but in my mind it should be the 18th of June, 2009. Ten days ago my life changed significantly. I don’t know what happened or when it happened, but I’ve been through hell and back. I am recording this message as proof and as guide. Proof for those who won’t believe me if I manage to get back. A guide, to help those who... who share the same fate as me. It’s been ten days since my arrival in this world and I have seen, or better said experienced, the weirdest **** I have ever seen in my life. With this, I hope I can help you prevent mistakes that I have made or answer questions you might have.

I still remember how it used to be, like it was yesterday. Work was work, a normal job like anyone else. That is, I remember it up to a certain point. There is a gap in my memory which I can't fill. I've thought hard and long, but nothing comes to mind. The reason for being here must be in that time gap, if only I could remember."

Just like Daniel, you can't remember a thing. Short term memory loss, a gap in your mind. One moment you were working, driving or doing whatever, the next you open your eyes and are in this world. A lonely desolated place.

The world

"It's similar to our world, but yet so different. These buildings, I don't know. They feel so old yet look so new. If only ten days have passed, then I don't know what could have happened. This city looks like none that could be. The technology, the architecture, the style. I don't know where I am on Earth. If I am on Earth, that is. Some different planet? But that would be impossible, it is so similar to Earth. Time even passes the same, I checked my watch every day for reference."

So here you are, in a different world. Everything looks so different yet feels so the same as before you opened your eyes. What happened? What changed? The technology is different, but not superior to our technology. The same, yet different. But the weirdest thing is the state of this world. Destroyed, the race who ruled annihilated. Not everything is a waste though, some structures are in perfect condition with the exception of maintenance.

"Desolated, I think that's the only word I can really use. Ten days have passed and I have yet to see a human being. However, I have seen things I wish I had not seen. No matter how I would describe the creatures I have seen, you'd call me crazy. Unless your in the same situation as me, of course. You'd understand. But this world is like the world of fantasy tales and horror novels. Maybe that's the reason those stories exist in our world, because some unlucky men or women met the same fate as us."

Loneliness is a big part of this story. The only persons you are likely to meet are the characters of the other players or characters thrown in by the "dungeon master". But you'd wish you had met only people. This world breaks the bonds of our world and destroys the "fantasy" part of so many stories.

IN SHORT: This game is a survival horror, post-apocalyptic fantasy RP. Lots of options for us to play in =D
