Wow. I'm surprised no-one's posted yet with proof that squirrel twanging is actually an ancient british ritual that was performed to ensure a good nut harvest!

Except for all the antisemitism, this is an awesome world to exist in.

Roald Dahl

Excellent books.  I remember starting to read them in first grade.  We had the whole box set at one point.  Those, combined with Ren & Stimpy, Tim Burton's movies and a fascination of the supernatural probably led to my current state of sanity.

My calc teacher used to be in the army.  Does that explain anything?

No, my calc teacher is not a priest. <shudder/>  DAT would be like this or something.

My friend's father had him as a teacher, quite a while ago.  That was the time of weight machine lifting.

A substandard kick.

We got our first test grades back.

"Near perfect" was 79.5/80.  "DAMN" was a 23/80.

When it comes time for papers to be handed out in Calculus, we all look forward to it but at the same time we cry.

"Ooh, this is a good one... You made a simple algebra error.  In doing so, you screwed up the second derivative.  Nice way to lose 5 points."

"CHARLIE!  GET UP HERE.  See this?  You were SO damned close... except for leaving it almost completely blank."

"What's 2 times 3?"  "6."  "No, not according to what you wrote for the denominator for number 5... it's 3."

"Remember the graph no one was able to draw?  You got an 'Oh GOODY!'  Too bad you SCREWED UP the entire middle page..."

The graph was something like x times the square root of x squared minus something, all of that STUFF over a number.  We had to draw it without using a calculator.  Most common response: "HOW THE F*CK DO I GRAPH THAT!?"
