The Miltank is still pretty bad, but not nearly as bad as it used to be.

New bike remix theme is pretty cool. Actually I like a lot of the new music in general.

Finding Pokemon via the Pokewalker is neat.

Sounds Like Pokemon Yellow and Crystal mashed together with better graphics.

I now officially call the Pokewalker, the Pokeshaker. Call me a lazy bastard if you will; who needs to walk when you can just shake for watts all day.

I had a D3 thing (Digimon) that worked the same way. You were supposed to walk and the Digimon would walk with you. Hah! No way. Shake it baby!

I laugh at you.

The Apricorns were in G/S/C. You give 'em to Kurt and he make you love, nest, time and other balls.
They were removed in Gen3 though.
I seriously don't remember this at all. Huh.

Slot 1 to 2 trading is doable on quite a few cards. And you can play online, trade with legit copies and all that. There's pretty much no downsides.
There's some copy protection. Every so often the game will freeze when it tries to run an event (such as trainers walking up to you, wild battles, entering or exiting a building).
There's already a Gameshark code to override this, but since my R4 is Chinese I have no idea how to configure it.

Got the game 3 hours after it came out thanks to piracy, have already clocked up some 12 hours on it.

I keep wondering if they remade the games because they ran out of new beginner pokemon.
They remade it so that you can have all the mons on one cartridge.

Trainers call you ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I have this kid that found a berry and keeps demanding every five minutes that I trek back to the starting area and, uh, I guess take the berry from him. Screw that. I can't figure out how to delete phone numbers you don't want so I mostly just stopped accepting them from people that sound like 'tards.
You cannot delete phone numbers. It's like real life: If you delete a phone number, the person will still call you, so what's the point? :3

I just call it the 'Pokémon Pikachu 3', I had the 2 as a kid:

Since I don't have a retail copy I don't have the Pokéwalker...I don't regret it that much since apparently it skips moves and evolutions.

XD @ The fact gamefreak acknowledges that people would pirate pokemon HG and SS as soon as it was leaked on the internet with an attempt to stop it that was thwarted within the week of its release.

That's nothing compared to more serious attempts at countering piracy. You hear about the recent one involving Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed II? ****ing hilarious.

Well, Ubi has this new anti-piracy tool for their PC games. Assassin's Creed II is one of two games that currently uses it. It works by requiring an internet connection for the duration of your gameplay. If you lose your connection, the game stops until you reconnect. At first, this meant losing any progress made since the last save, although now, you continue from where you left off. Now, this means that if you have no internet, or your internet goes down for a while, you're screwed.

Pirates found a way to get around it by the official release day.

Now, that's not bad enough. Not long after the release, the servers that track these games crashed, leaving people with legit copies unable to play. The pirates with their work-arounds? No need for internet connections, so no problem. Ultimately, people who bought the game were punished while the people who stole the game were totally unaffected. Who is this anti-piracy program really affecting?

Oh wow. Fail.
Requiring Internet Connection for a game with no online capability is fail.
I doubt they'll ever manage to find a good way to counter piracy since pirates will always find a way around. They'll probably just lose customers because their attempts will make it worst for non pirates than actual pirates, just like in that case apparently. They shouldn't even bother. Yeah, sure, they'll get less money from those pirates, but at least they won't take the risk of losing customers as well.
Fail... échouer.

All this talk of terrible anti piracy makes me feel obligated to post this-

It's the devloper of Sins of A Solar Empire, Stardock's "10 commandments of gaming"-
        * Gamers shall have the right to return games that don't work with their computers for a full refund.
        * Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.
        * Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game's release.
        * Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.
        * Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will play adequately on that computer.
        * Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won't install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their consent.
        * Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.
        * Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.
        * Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.
        * Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.

Every publisher should follow this mantra.

Ubi soft suck anyway they have sucked since The Sands Of time Trilogy ended.

Assasin's Creed is painfully boring in every way possible (despite having a good story it a mind numbing game). I couldn't stand playing it more than like 15 minutes at a time and it took that long just to ride to another town, and the new Prince Of Persia game was..well..it was yeeeeah..
Ubisoft deserves to have their games pirated to start to repay everyone who actually bought the last Prince Of Persia game.

Have you played the second game or are you basing all your opinions on the first? The second fixes a LOT of issues the first one had, including the whole "boring" factor.

Honestly, I still love Ubi. Their recent games may not have been their best, but I still found them to be tons of fun. And I must be about the only person that didn't find any part of AC to be boring. I can only assume that means that, when I play the second, my mind will be blown.
