Unity3D
« on: February 24, 2012, 02:17:07 AM »
I know this is a lost cause considering that Charas is more like a clique than an actual forum for game design, but I'm just curious...has anyone ever tried Unity out?
I've heard some pretty awesome things about it, and I've got a lot of game ideas that I want to try out.

So...yeah.
Anybody try it out at all?

I've known about it for a while, and some people back at uni used to use it.

Seemed pretty interesting. Coders don't like it because they think it's cheating but a lot of other people do :p

I'm pretty sure if you utilize the C#/Boo/Java scripting interface enough you can make it do whatever the hell you want.
Not sure, though.

I've been screwing around with it, and so far I'm pretty impressed.
I still have NO idea how to use it, so my idea(s) aren't going to come to fruition anytime soon, but...uh...yeah.
I've mostly been looking at the sample project that comes with it.
