Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
« on: February 24, 2012, 04:05:46 PM »
Anyone else went out and bought this game. Only lv.8, already love it way more than Skyrim. The combat is just so shiny and exciting, and all the storyline stuffs about fate and all that nonsensical stuff. So, anyone else read up, played, heard of it?

It's really long, expansive, filled with nice tiered look. Green, blue, orange, purple ect. You can name equipment you make, just for gets and shiggles.

Really shiny combat, and you can respec (unlike you, damn Skyrim. That one useless point in heavy armor, I'll never get you back. ;~;)
for a decent cost of gold.

Everything I've played and seen screams (I've played this before). It's like game nostalgia, but in a bad way. The game isn't bad, but it's too much like games I've played in the past, so I can't get into it. It's just a little generic-feeling, and that kind of disinterests me.

Baldurs gate? DnD for the gamecube? Slight feel of Diablo? Fable?

Kind of like all those in one, yeah. Sounds like it would be great, but it just lacked character and turned me off.

Considering this once I'm done Assassin's Creed. Anyone know how it is on PS3? Also, how good is the story?

You look like my grandmother.
edit: when she was young. You don't look like you're 80.

The story is all about fate, and multiple races, all that fun stuff. I think it has a kickass story :3

Oh, you mean, like, you know, 80% of all rpgs?
Well, the fateweavers, essence of fate, unraveling, existing outside of fate. It's actually new. Not Here is a destiny you was born to fulfill. this game is like, your very existence fucks up everything we've ever known about fate. You jerk.

Your explanation isn't helping!

What am I supposed to be helping? >w>;
Still, just play it or watch videos ya jerks. the combat is still flashy and fun, with enough quests and side quests to keep you entertained, with just enough storyline to enjoy.
