Questions about returning

Been a while for me. Recently bought the English translation of 2k3 on steam. Wondering if there is anything I should know from coming from the fan translation from way back when. Is everything the same as far as how it all operates...

Everything is mostly the same except I don't think any of the old modware will work with the new version. Otherwise most everything is the same but when you import old games they will be updated and break for both RM2003 Don Miguel's version and games created in RM 2000 that updated to 2K3 before. It's because they renamed every animation and sound resource in the whole of the engine upon English release. TuT Took me years to understand this and i lost a few games to it.
