Oh, by the way, since it is an "online" game, your character can be pretty much anything since you get to create him/her at the beggining.

now, y'know in the metal gear solid series, you find out about the 'patriots' who are working in the background. big, bad, and they run everyhting... if you had those in the game, i wanna be one of those... if not, i'd just be a big bad boss...

Sorry, I haven't checked here in a while, but please, keep 'em coming, I intend to follow through, but if not enough step up to be in this project, then it really can't be called a Charas game.  I have worked hard on this and have a few neighbors and friends helping out.  It also looks like if I finish this game, it'll be the first game actually put up on this board in a looooooong time.  Just a question for everyone: how many maps do you think should be in the demo? I don't want too make it to long or too short.  I hope this works out!  Oh, yeah I'm also not the kind of person who cans a project for no reason at all, and the only way this game could possibly get canned is if not enough people join, and please, Alex, help us out, it is your forum, so obviously you should be the main character, it wouldn't feel right otherwise.  If any of you talk to Alex a lot, please mention this thread, I don't think he comes to this part of the Forum very often.

we currently have 8 PCs (including me) and hopefully we'll be able to tack Alex onto this.  I would like 2 more to fill the minimum of 10 PCs, and we have a Maxamim of 20, so if you want to be a PC post ASAP

On a side note, here are a few of the Characters' motives:

Alex (may be removed if Alex prefers not to join):
As the creator of Charas, and as the one who clicked the pop-up add in the first place, Alex feels it is his duty to save Charas from disaster as he discovers the game is to addictive to stop playing.

Cornhusker:
Excited for the first game of the NCAA (american) Football season, he bought tickets from a friend for $145 (if you aren't familiar with American currency, basically with $145 you could by about three of the latest, greatest video games with that) and can't wait to go, but unfortunately, the Charas game's spell on him won't allow him to leave his computer, and the game is almost started.  Desperately he tries to break the spell.  He also has to go to the bathroom really bad, giving him another reason to defeat Charas the game.

Vicener:
The Charas game was so amazing that he is speechless, litterally.  Whle playing the game, he doesn't have the ability to talk, rendering his USB headset useless.  Now that he can't talk, he wishes that all of his keys on his keyboard would work instead of just the arrow keys, the space bar and enter key, and the . key.  All he says throughout the game is "...".  I feel sorry for the poor kid.

Araloth:
A boy obsessed with mythical beings from legend and folklore.  He quickly decided in the charas game to be a wood elf, and plays happpily until he notices that a leprechaun is dancing around him, making fun of him.  He knows this may be his only chance to prove to the world that leprechauns are real, but because the game is so good,he can't take his hands off the keyboard.
