Offline and Online Battle Char Generators

Is there really any point of downloading the offline battle charset generator? What has the offline version got that the online hasn't, which is better?

     The online version is great for people with fast connections. The people with slow connections like me cannot load all the images in half a heart beat. So the offline version would be better for me but unnfortunately it lacks the resources. Does anyone know where any resources can be found for it.

And why exactly the online generator is no longer updated, I kept sending resources to it and they aren't updated, I wonder , at least it can be updated?
