Ok, as some of you know this past thursday was the American Thanksgiving. A holiday in which we give thanks for what we have, and what we're greatful for. Some of us do more than that, some of us volunteer, help out those less fortunate, etc...

but we're gonna take this opportunity to be a little selfish.

I want to know, what Games or Systems, or even movies you're thankful for this year.
I'll start.

Metroid Prime 2
Nintendo DS
Budokai 3 (for not being nearly as sucky as the last two)
Kill Bill Vol. 2

you get the idea?

Now people, let's try and keep this civil, we don't need any one cutting down other peoples things they're grateful for.

and we also don't need any Liberal Hippy Douche's to ruin the thread by complaining because the indians were killed back then, (I am Indian and I don't care that the Pilgrims killed us, its in the past, I like thanksgiving personally)

Interesting thankful things...

wouldn't it be better if it was not for games?
I am thankful for a roof over my head, a complete family (no divorces), and food every day. I am also thankful to have experienced no grief from loss of loved ones, although my grandfather died when I was 2, but I don't recall that, I am thankful for living in a country without war (Canada), and I am thankful for having access to all the people over the internet.
Like you all of you. :)

BTW: I thought Indians prefered to be called Aboriginals or First Nations. Or are you the kind that likes to be called South-Asian?

BTW: Why do Canada and USA celebrate the same thing on different dates? Nov., Oct.?

Well, I said games cause that's something we can all agree on, when you just do things, you tend to get people who are either very underprivaliged and get hurt, or people who like to act poor for pity and that gets annoying, but if you want to give stuff besides games, whatever.

And... um.... about teh indians, no. We do not like to be called First Nations, or Aboriginals, or South-Asians, we are usualy just called Indians, or Indian Americans, or, in my case, Melongen and Cherokee.

Also, the reason Canada and America celebrate Thanksgiving on different days, is that Canada was colonized at a different time, after America (as in years) , so they give thanks for when they settled and found a new home.

I'm thankful for the Phantasy Star series. The original one was the first RPG that didn't take place in a medievil, "rescue the princess" era.

Long live oldschool RPGs!  (J)
