Any spooky school myth/legend?
« on: January 19, 2005, 01:14:22 AM »
I heard of a story in my school, it's a boy named Tobby.
He loved this girl so much that he would kill himself for her.
He was a very shy boy and he was in the same stage class as her, but one day he got the courage to speak to her one day and he asked her out.
She said no.
This had broken his heart.
He was so tored up inside that he went to the audition on the stage and hanged himself.
His body was found 4 day later.
They say that if you said his name 3 times, you'll hear a scream and see him.
I did it once and heard a scream outside and a car crush.
Care to share your story, guys?

Wow! Good idea for a thread!

Little spooky things happen to me, so I don't have any to say. But El Prez has spooky things happen to him like a bowel function!

Hmm... when I was in high school (which was... up until this year actually) I usually avoided the type of people who'd actually believe stuff like this, so I don't know if there are any or not. The cafeteria food is scary enough without ghosts--it already has cockroaches. heh.

But for some reason the dumb kids in my elementary school way back then thought there was some sort of monster that looked remotely like Santa Claus in the abandoned storage room under the stairs somewhere. Yeah, it was kind of a creepy room, but... that's just dumb.

The pool on the roof. In our school, however there was a twist - the onyl stairs to the roof were through the back room where the garden on the roof was kept. Freshmen lurking upwards would trip an alarm set by Ms. Fisher for when the school pets got up there (she did an animal class and had these things out and about sometimes). Tripping the alarm got a fresh blast of kool-aid on you, so she'd know what pet tripped it off. Clothes were ruined.

In the end it was really just a bunch of us standing up there with a bucket full of kool-aid. XD

Ahha, I have one that isn't really scary, but is definatly nasty.
Back in the 70s, there was some random guy who decided that it would be funny to take cr@ps in plastic bags, then throw them into lockers, the cafeteria, or the teachers lounge.  He would even take cr@ps in the middle of the hall without anyone noticing.  He never got caught, and no one ever knew who he was.  Yeah, and the other day I say a small dry brown spot on the bottom of a hallway wall... x(

Oh thanks, Asakura.
There is also a myth about one girl that was in the pool area in my school.
she was playing in the pool and she went to the bottom and didn't come back up.
People thought she was playing, trying to scare them.
but when 5 hours came, they knew she wasn't kidding.
You guys got any more stories?

None of these things really happen around at school, but at home it's a friking different story. People say that before we bought this house, a old lady used to live here. She then died one day in this house. Then We moved in and well nothing really happens. But one time someone turned on our living room stereo full blast. it was crazy. Then one time in the summer it's really hot, (I can't sleep in my room) SO I slept in the hall where the cooler is on. I couldn't sleep then I looked up into the living room and on the sofa there appeared to be a figure of a lady just sitting there looking straight ahead of her. It was crazy I was scared but I just looked at the figure. It lookes so much like a old lady that I went to get my mom. By the time we got back nothing was there. . .
PS: Have any of you tried the bloody mary thing in your bathroom? Does it work? Im to scared to try it!

I don't know where to begin, so I'll tell you all a tale. A tale of a fateful trip, that started on this tropic port, aboard this island ship.

Anyway, one night at at home, I was having A LOT of trouble getting to sleep. When I finally did fall asleep, I was awoken by a strange feeling. I felt like something was with me in the room. I looked right, and saw a cloaked 'man' standing next to my bed bending over me.
One of his hands was almost touching my face, and the other was over my stomach.

I looked up at the figure in the black coat, and saw that it had a red face.
And yes, I did try to scream but I was too scared, so I closed my eyes and opened them again just incase my mind was playing tricks on me, but when I looked back, it was still there, but it had moved. So I kept blinking out of fear, and every time my eyes closed, he seemed to turn and sink into his cloak until he was gone. I can't remember how I got back to sleep, or anything else from that night other than it was right on 11:00pm.

As you would presume, the next day I was pretty freaked out after I woke up without any explanation of what had happened.
Weeks later, I learned that the Grim Reaper wears a Red Mask when he is 'visiting' someone when it isn't their time.

One of the things which I find most spooky is that it was pitch black in my room, but the cloak was even blacker and the red mask was clearly red.

Nothing to do with school, but very spooky nevertheless.  :o

I've heard that there's a spooky 3rd floor in my school, they that if you reach that floor you won't be able to go back down.
I'm still thinking of a way to get up there, I like to play with death since I always win. Hahah! XD

highschoolers beleived in a santa cluase monster underneath a stair way... ... ... hehehe....

the highschool i go to has about 200 students in it (its a highschool and a jr. high (i go to highschool))

so when someone dies, its a big thing, there is a little more respect from everyone then to start rummors, so no vengful spirits out to revenge! but there are some nasty rummors about some of the old redneck teachers and some failling students... ... ... kinda nasty... ... ...
