I really need help with video cards

Firstly I don't understand the difference between a video and a graphics card. And secondly mine sucks. So I'm thinking of buying a new one.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/search.asp?keywords=geForce+MX&image12.x=0&image12.y=0
That website has the cheapest ones I've seen. I need someone who knows something about gfx cards to go there and on that page tell me what's the best to get (within a max of $50).
Thanks.
My gfx card specs:
it's an ATI: RAGE 128 GL AGP (whatever the **** that means)
my computer wont even run effin diablo 2 in 3d direct X mode and even the 2d direct draw mode is laggy!
My computer is a Gateway (eew) E-4200 with only 130,596 KB RAM (this is probably another problem) running Windows 2000 and it has an Intel Pentium 3 processor. I actually think my old P.O.S. E machines was better -_-

First, tiger direct sucks.
http://www.newegg.com
is the best site for computer parts, period. I ordered my entire new computer(parts, that is, to build it) on a Monday and recieved it Wednesday. Prices rawk too.
Anywho, your best bet would be to get yourself some RAM before you get a graphics card. (A video/graphics cards are all the same thing, like bike and bicycle). A stick of 512 MB ram would probably suffice your situation.
As for the graphics card, $50 really limits you. The way you said it, it sounds like your graphics card is 128 MB, but that might just be a number thrown in there to make it sound powerful. ATI Radeon's are the best, and if you want a decent on for around $70 or so(can't remember the actual price), the ATI Radeon 128 MB 9200se series is good. They have crap like the "Saphhire" version, or a bunch of other ones, but I don't see the difference between them, besides packadging and the lil sticker you get to stick on your computer.
ATI: RAGE 128 GL AGP
ATI - Company who made the card, of course
RAGE - Series, I'm assuming
128 - MB? If so, then your card is actually decent, but not super duper great for awesome games, but mine is 128MB and it's pleased me - ran Doom 3 at medium with barely and chop and stunning graphics
GL - Glide? Type of graphics rendering stuff. Most times you'll only worry about this if you need to get a glide wrapper for a 3d program, like n64 emus.
AGP - Type of slot your card goes into. There's AGP and PCI, AGP being the more standard one and the one you most likely want. Actually, for this, you will have to make sure the card you get is AGP.

caught my eye, if you upgrade your system memory to handle the 128 MB requirement.

well if those are the definitions of what i have then i already knew what they meant. But I'll say this, it must be a piece of crap since my N64 emulator won't glide wrap and it won't even play like the supposed fastest n64 ROM out there. It's some dynamite game with squares and a construction worker dude or whatever. DAMNIT I JUST WANNA PLAY KIRBY 64 AND DIABLO 2 IS THIS SO MUCH TO ASK?
Ok here the sitch...
I have an extra card of about 256 MB from my old emachines after adding some to it. I could stick that in my comp. So about how expensive is RAM? Also...just get on AIM for we can talk about this.
