If CS is anything like 7, just go to image>mode>Indexed Color, and a little box should come up with 256 already in it. If not just type it in...

Hmm... did you save it as a PNG? If so, I honestly have no idea, unless you're not selecting "titles" from the raw image importer, and are trying to import it as another resource...

did you make it with a layer program? I'm pretty sure rm2k/3 doesn't like layered images. If so, then you gotta to get it out of the layer style, maybe opening it in original Paint.

Actually, it will automatically flatten the image when you save it as a png.

Ok. Main progress and progress concerning where you start out.
Game over - finished
cms - looking for one. asking ArcanaGirl
title - finished
Main chars house (outside, basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor)- finished
town - unfinished
forst - unfinished
road - under construction
random fields (you can just walk and walk, and find col sh*t) - under construction
system(s) - finished for now unless something comes up, and I need to make a new one...
Main char gfx - Basicly done. I'll be asking for poses. I forget who that guy's called...
items - under construction 35% done.
CBS - unfinished
battle anim - unfinished.
Oh, yeah, how the hell do I fight in RM2k3? I'm used to the RM2k style, and have no idea how to work 2k3's.
I feel like I'm maing good progress.

Your game sounds like it will be crazy hard to make especially with just rm2k3. But I just thought i'd let you know if you need any help just let me know and I might be able to help. Some things im good at and others i just plain suck. anyway good luck and post something up here when you finish. I want to play this kindof fable kindof not fable game.
