The guy who designed it said "We created something beautiful. You wouldn't criticize a great architect for placing a gate in the wrong place."

You would if the gate didn't open!

Hah! Thats a major issue, wouldn't they have to like re-construct the whole face to move the button?

They already fixed it.

1. Darkfox, you're wrong. Get over it.

2. With the higher graphics PSP games, you can expect a very low battery power. The lowest it can get is two hours before needing recharging.

3. Australia gets everything last. We totally missed out on the glory that is Katamari Damacy. But we're supposedly getting number 2.

4. The touchscreen IS revolutionary in the field of games. Nyah.

Wuv da tuch skween? Kids love the touch n play. But I prefer the manly controller... lightweights. As for revolutionary, meh, it's more like a downgrade. I'm not impressed by screen sensors, it's not gaming, it's just pokeing a screen that has a senory array. Now if they made a great fluid VR type game, ok, that would be revolutionary. But the DS touchscreen will just be a kid's tuch n pway type thing.

Does DS even have controllers? It better. I don't want to circle the enemy to attack or anything like that because I would get bored fast from the low strategy required since the game would basically do the work for you. Where would the fun be in that?

Though now that I think of it, wouldn't be bad for a war strategy type like Warcraft. Better than clicking the mouse and more precise and time saving on those quick decisions.

Well it's not like every game only uses the touch screen. For example in Spiderman 2 all it's mainly used for is to switch which special attack you're using, and everything else is used with buttons.  But there are a lot of games that try to push the fact that you can touch the screen to play. The advertising is all "Look! Touch screen! WOW!!" Later on there will probably be more games that are less focused on the touch screen.

Mario 64 DS=Game that you don't really use the touch screen

Asphalt Urban GT=Racing game that doesn't really the touch screen

Metroid Prime: Hunters=Sweet first person shooter that you don't really need to use the touch screen if you don't want to

Mario Kart DS=Mario Kart game that will only use the touch for a map(I think)
And Much more. :D

... I see both sides of this argument... I don't think it will work if they use the touch screen for the sake of using the touch screen, they really have to have a good use for it.

Thanks man, I haven't laughed like that in ages. (Well, at on my computer. Much to the disgust of bystanders.)

MT11, the touchscreen, is, you understand, going to be massively over-advertised. I couldn't see it folding out any other way. But it is cleverly incorporated. Unless, of course, colouring in your game screen isn't manly enough for you XD.

Too many whined about the NES controllers causing blisters, which they did. But... it did toughen the fingers.

As I mentioned, the touch screen would be very useful for a top view war strat like CnC or Starcraft. I can't see such a feature incorprated in a sideview scroller since it would take the fun out of the strategy. For real-time War games this would be awsome, touch the unit, touch where it goes, to drag a box over multiple units just drage your finger across. That would greatly increase speed and accuracy.

But uh, the control is a lot more comfortable for platformers and fighting games and dungeon crawlers and RPGs.

P.S.

Yoshi Touch & Go - "Uhhhh... the title sounds a bit... disturbing..."

Not a single person I know would find that disturbing. They would just laugh at it. be it a loud laugh, or just a chuckle, it's funny.

I...want to a lil bit, actually.

the psp, in my opinion, will be good, but I believe the ds will be better.  I still have yet to try the psp, but from what I read, the DS is better.  I hear that the psp will burn the batteries about twice as fast.  Anyway, this is yet to be proven wrong.  We'll find out on the 24th wont we.

P.S - So far, I think the DS has better games.  Except Metroid.  It took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to shoot.  NEVER put the shoot button on one of the R or L button's on a handheld.  ITS MADNESS!!  oh shoot, i gotta do my geometry homework.  when are we ever gonna use proofs in real life?  stupid..geometry creator...guy...
