Well, I just finished the "demo" and here's the things I found wrong:

-First and foremost, WAY too much RTP.

-Hero started out on the wrong map.

-Once I put the hero on the right starting map, I saw that you STOLE Don Miguel's simple intro! Seriously, it is NOT wise to steal something like that, especially when 90% of everyone has seen it.

-Speaking of intro's, yours lacked a set up and proper background story. We have no idea who this guy is and no eplination of why he's prince and he simply hangs out with the first guy that attacks him.

-Peter, as the first boss I presume, has WAY too much HP and not enough attack power. However, when he joins your party, he suddenly gets about as strong as you.

-You shouldn't have let the guy leave the castle until AFTER he was told about the orb things.

-The orb things and the world ending came suddenly out of nowhere with no real story behind it.

-I don't wanna say the maps suck, but they kinda do..

-Hey, a plane outta nowhere! Convenient!

-Game freezes after beating Golem because you put an event to move the hero where he can't go.

-Entering Scultron teleports you into the side of a cliff.

-The Scultron cave flat out sucks. You just kep walking downwards and fight a few monsters.

-Also, I'd have the Lava monster (who's insanely hard, btw) tell them he hid the orb AFTER the fight.
EDIT: I played through some more, and it might make more sense to keep it as it is. Either way would work, really.

-Teleporting to the airship from the cave teleports you to like the side of the airship.

-There are some MAJOR problems in Suton city concerning finding the lost children. First time you talk to the guy he'll tell you to find his children, you can't teleport to the forest ro the tower, and if you go back and talk to him again, he thanks you for saving his kids.
-EDIT: It seems that when you talk to the girl, she dosen't change anything. That's why.

-The part of the log you need to saw's event is "below hero". No one is ever going to get past it unless you change it to "same level as hero"

-You get an air badge right before talking to the airship guy, as well as after cutting the log. I reccomend getting rid of one of them.

-NPCs move way too slow.

-Uhh.. after getting the first orb, you can fly back up to that place and put 5 orbs on the posts. If I were you, I wouldnt have put that plane on the other side of the lake.
EDIT: After getting ANY number of orbs, you can place 5 on their posts. I've tried while having any given number up to 4.

-Most bosses are too hard for the heroes current level.

You said you were 90% done in your email. The farthest I got was to Scultron (after flying back after defeating the lava monster). That is where you stopped, right, because that's as far as the game seemed to let me go. At this time, I had 4 orbs and 4 party members.

In no way have I meant to offend you by telling you the things I don't like about this game. In fact, quite the opposite, I'm trying to help. I can understand the lack of qraphics quality and story because you seem to be a newbie to some aspects of RM2k, however, you seem to have a good understanding of switches and game elements of an RPG. This game definatly has potential. Overall, I don't think it would ever be able to be an epic, because it is pretty cliched, but I definatly think you can polish it into being a very nice RPG.

Some things that would make this better:

-For 1, use more custom graphics (or at least more non-RTP).

-Second, the monsters-namingly the bosses-were WAY too hard, unless you're trying to go for a Dragon Warrior 7 type thing, were you have to fight weak monsters for hours and hours to level up. I'll be honest, I cheated and made all my characters max level while playing through because the bosses were so annoyingly hard.

-Third, I URGE you to make your own introduction scene. If you need help, I'd be happy to help you out with coding one.

-Foruth (and this sort of ties in with the third) come up with a story! I mean, it basically starts out of nowhere! You could incorperate the story into the intro, if you wish to go that route. But the game just seems lacking without a story.

-Fifth, and I belive this will be my last bit of advice, try working on customizing your boss battles. Even monsters. Try to make them challenging, but not insanely hard. Say toyouself "What level should my charcters be at this point in the game?" Then make a boss that they would be able to beat (Maybe with the use of a few potions if needed) but not unbelievably hard.
