Ok, I'm gonna be honest, I lied. I wasn't the one who needed the topic, my brother needed it for a collage paper, but I didn't want to add to many details in the first post. But yeah, if I found him a topic, I would be able to stay on the internet for an extra hour or two last night, so yeah, I made this topic. Since he procrastinates a lot, the 5 page paper was due today, and he started it at 11 last night. Though, I probably wouldn't do any differant :p

So now that the paper is written (or at least I think it was), lets talk about some more stupid contraversies.

Personally, I think frivalous lawsuits are stupid. If you tried to rob someones house, and get hurt during the process, you could sue the person you were trying to rob, despite the fact that you were trespassing and breaking about 10 other laws at the same time.

I think poeple shouldn't be able to sue doctors nor anyone who tries to save thier life. Like I've heard people sue people who saved their life because in the process of saving their life, they got a minor injury such as a broken bone. Being able to sue people that are trying to help other people doesn't make any sence, and it just discourages people from helping others.

Another one that I dislike is privatization of water. For those of you who don't know that that is, its when the government sells their water rights to private companies so they can sell water to you and make a profit. For companies to buy resources to make products and sell to you is a good thing, but water on the other hand isn't. Water is a basic need for every living being, no company or coorperation should own the rights to water, and you shouldn't have to pay a privite company in order to live (cuz without the water you'd die of course). Normally having companies sell you things means cheaper products, however in water, there wouldn't be any competition, in order for there to be competition, each company would have to have their own pipelines, which in most cities isn't possible. Another bad thing about companies owning water is that companies are more concerned about profit rather than our well being.

Then I think the violence in video games is one of the most stupid contraversies ever thought of. They say that the violence in video games is causing violence in children, which couldn't be further from the truth. These people are just trying to find someone to blame, and unfortunatly its the video games. In reality, its not. If anyone is to blame, its the violence at home, the violence at school, and what the child learns on the street and at home.

Thats all my opinions for now.

I hate all these damn sue happy people, but thats what our friggen society has come to.

Next point- violence in video games-

I would much rather have a kid shoot cops in Grand Theft Auto than get bored and go shoot real cops.  Violent games give violent people something to do other than kill real people...

Another thing- i dont care if you are " insane "  or had abusive parents or Grand Theft auto made you do it-- MURDER IS MURDER (unless self defense )  So I think people should accept responcibility... The DC sniper was blaming Halo.....

Yes, good point, murder is murder. People are trying to blame everyone and everything else besides themselves. Playing Halo does not encourage you to shoot someone. Its just something they said just so not all the blame would fall on them. Now if they were insane, that would be a differant story, I'd believe it when someone says they killed someone because they're insane, but that doesn't mean their punishment should be any lighter than normal.

It is not about watching but more about becoming an actor for it. I read this in something about 4-5 years ago it just kind of stuck. You need to make movies with classmates and for final make a movie or watch the teacher have sex. It would be a weird class. As for where I have no idea google it mabye it is called pornology. Like the hell I would know.

Try the fact that parents do not monitor what their kids buy?

For example, The GTA game. Where was the mother when the kid bought this game? Did she check the rating before he played it? It then, somehow, became the company's fault, and not the adult's.

I wrote about that and got an A+ easy.
