Alrighty people. I wanted to make my own set of pickups for my guitar. I looked all over the Net, and found a few sites with even less information. I know it's possible to do so, and so can anyone tell me where to start, like what kind of wire, magnets, etc. contribute to what kind of tone, feedback, etc. Thanks people, and Merry Christmas.

Pretty good section about making pickups. And everything else. Although I doubt you'll be making a better pickup than factory preset anytime soon...

Yeah. I also recommend looking up some Carvin products... I got this Carvin magazine once in the mail... it had all kinds of guitar parts, starter guitar-making kits, bodies for basses or electric guitars, necks.. all kinds of cool stuff. Course Im sure you can find them elsewhere... but Carvin's the shi

Yea, I checked them out, and I'll get their catalogue.
That PDF is awesome. Me and my friend were gonna make a custom axe in his woodwork shop and that's exactly what we needed to start. I'll let you know how that goes.
