I moved it to the tutorials thread.

Anyway, there are a bunch of name generators out there. To find them, you can search google for name generators. Otherwise, I'm bad and making up names too, so I can't really give you any suggestions.

The needing of names doesn't belong in the tutorial thread. If it was already in requests, that's where it should've stayed.

As to the names, if you're making a fangame, you should probally use names that are already from the game. I'm bad at remembering them, but I know there was Hyrule, Darkmountain, Kokiri (sp?), and Zora's Domain.

Yafnag is a fantasy name generator....

But yea if its a fangame it be best to stick with the names that came with the game...unless its a new character or town of some sorts...

It wsn't in the request forum, it was in the rpg maker programming section. And he wasn't asking for specific names, but any tips to come up with names, or possibly a site. And giving tips on thinking of names would be a tutorial.

It's easy to make a name from nowhere, I do it all the time.

Just take two sylabs don't think on them, just write the first thing that come to your head.

 lets say...

 Er
 and Fin

 Erfin, it's already a name.

If anything, throw a few random letters in there, or change it slygthly to sound better.

 Neraphin

 Double some letters...

 Neraphinn

 Add a title..

 Lord Neraphinn

 And a silly thing about his/her appearence/hometown

 Lord Nerphinn from Netherworld

 Let me try this again...

 Pan
 Ves

 Panves

 Pavyis

 Pavyis of Gaetherlan

 ...
Well, at least that's how I managed to pick all my character names up, such as Okneoth or Atikkus Eldrich Gizrael.

That's natural. The sheer sexyness of my method could drive a 56 year old english man to rape someone. Most likelly his buttler.
