.php extension (I did read FAQ)
« on: December 20, 2003, 04:43:18 PM »
Okay - I can make my character fine.

I then press save, and get another window opening with the charset. I right click, and select 'Save Picture As...'
It saves it as a filetype that I am unable to open, and also sports a .PHP filetype. This happens no matter if I save as PNG or BMP.

I tried 'gzip', which gave me a zipped folder with one file in it. The file type was unknown, and I couldn't open it.

I even tried using Print Screen on the window I got from clicking download, but even after putting it in PNG and in the right folder, I just got a black screen in RM2K instead of the character.

And lastly, I tried the offline version, but it's simply not good enough, it lacks some of the objects I want. :x

So any help will be greatly appreciated - here is the character, attatched.

If you open the gzip file with winzip, it will ask you to give the file a name.
Just give it a .png name and all should go ok ;)

another way is to select the option "save image (in charas)" look for it at the bottom of the screen, this will open the saved charasets menu click save and another window will open with the created charaset image and is in the format PNG.right click to save picture as,
but the image will be the rong dimesions for rpgm2k so youll have to resize it to 288x256 befor importing it to rpgm2k.

if you know how to resize an image to these dimensions and import to rpgm2k let me know.
even though i have resized my charasets to these propotions i still cant get them to work.

also if anyone knowes how to import charaset resources into the ofline charas.ex please help ive read the faq and its not consistent with my charas.ex.i cannot for some reson import png or bmps.i need eather cmr type or a charas.ex program download that works right'

I'm having the same problem he is. No matter what I try to do, it always comes out in the .php format. I hear a lot about just converting the file to .bmp or .png but.. (This is gonna sound real stupid.) I dont know how. *Shot.* So if someone here could please tell us what we're doing wrong, it would be really appreciated.
