You know, if you spend a little more time on shading and detail you can have a vast improvement.

Oops, I forgot to shade the mask lol. I normally would've done that. But the hair looks cooler.

I also changed the armor but when I saved it to gif it lost some color information.

Use UFX: www.ultimatepaint.com/ufx

It'll preserve colors when converting to other image formats.
