Maple Story Comic

Ive been bored for a lil while, so i decided to make a lil comic based on maple story.  Unfortunatly i havent colored it, or even used some sort of tone.  I also only just started and have only a few pages inked and scanned.  But eh why not post it here.

For those who dont know.  Maple Story is a 2-D, online, side scrolling, platform jumping, and most of all an RPG.  Its also a free game.

Anyway its not gonna be anything great.  I will be adding pages as i go along.  Its a story involving my character and one of my friends thus far.  I was gonna add my guild also, but they piss me off and i quit. lol.  If anyones ms character wants be in it one time or another you can just post a ss of your character, and just the character not the whole screen, ill see if i can fit u guys in.  
Well the story is pretty much going to be like the game. With a few differences for creativity sake. Negi is gonna start as a noob like anyone would, and make his way off maple island and do quests along the way.  He really has no goal as of yet, he is just trying to get by.

Yeah, it's even better than the actual game.

However, there are one of two options as two why I only found these slightly humorous.

1.)  I'm too sophisticated.
2.)  I'm not sophisticated enough.

Personally, I think the creator was trying too hard to be funny, and in the process abolished their chance of being able to just let the humor appear naturally, such as the people at 8-Bit Theater.

HOWEVER.  I do deem this mildly entertaining, which is probably one of my better "deems" that I have given to these types of things.

Please do keep in mind that, yes, I may have used some criticism, but it was constructed criticism that is meant to help you improve.  If I happened to affend or angered you, it was not intentional, in which I apologize in advanced.

Well to tell you the truth im not too serious about this.  Its just something to kill time.  And yes this comic thing is probably just gonna be mostly slapstick comedy.  Nothing too original, just something to give someone a quick shot of entertainment.  Though i do have an overall story in mind i have no clue how far ill get before i get bored with it.

And about trying to hard to be funny, i dont think i was, i even cut out a few stupid things i was going to put in here.  Though if your doing a story you got to get people interested in it early or they will just not care to finish it.

This is true I agree.  Perhaps, what I precieved as "tryting too hard", may be in accurate.  I assumed this because I lot of comics and "funny" videos I've viewed and witnessed in the past, all contained things of people "trying too hard".  Perhaps this is just where your sense of humor lies, and if thats the case, it is much different than mine.

If I forgot to mention this earlier, I'll mention it now.

Well either way no offence taken.  I know i pretty much laugh at anything.  I mean i can watch the same episode of friends reruns all day and still laugh at em everytime.

One of my favorite ones is the one where joey gets a bag.

Its really stupid but i still cant help laugh when i even think about that episode.  Anyway... yeah.

Oh btw thx.  Though i thought it was odd that u said "the creator" when u could have easily said my sn.  Go figure.

To be honest for a crappy comic based on a crappy MMO, it's pretty funny. If you put a little more effort into details(backgrounds and such) it would be a better read.

Well i was planning on it being colored by one of my net buds, but she seem to have abandoned ms completely so its black and white.  I would do it but i dont have photoshop and cant seem to find a place to download a complete version without having to pay for it.  Also i havent figured out how to use toner all that well yet.  And i compiled the pannels on the computer, so backgrounds are kinda hard since im not sure how big the panels are gonna be when i start drawing.

Heres what most of the pages look like strait out of my sketch book, though most of em arnt as  organized.  Sometimes the page of the comic is split between multiple pages in the sketch book.  This one is fairly good shape.
