Want some comments. He's supposed to be a somewhat modern samurai who carries two swords, one on his back, and one on his side. Based on a drawing I did.

Hmmm. His head is very flat, and his eyes are not too easy to see, and he sort of looks like Link ala Zelda games with that shirt. But you handled the two swords thing well.

The hair is supposed to create the effect of his bangs sort of popping out forwards over his eyes, and I was contemplating changing the shirt's color, I'm not really good with colors.

I drew on clothes, hair, and the face, and colored everything in in photoshop using a blank RTP charaset (as in, just a body with no clothes, hair, face, etc)

It looks good, but as Saikar said, the head seems too flat. Especially in the front view.

If you want the hair to look like it is covering the eyes, you succeeded on that point, because that's exactly what it looks like.
Maybe instead of being too flat, his head is just too wide. Perhaps you should shave a pixel or two off the side?
