They look good but why do most of them have those lines going through them?

What is HM? Hermaphrodite? Hopping Monkey?  Homicidal Maniac? Speaking of which, has anybody read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac? And did you draw them make them or resize other pics to make them?

The reason is because they are from the game Harvest Moon: Sprite station.
