Well, you could try using switches. When you want to make the event dissapear, just set a switch (dissapear) to true. then make a second page fot the event you want to dissapear, and on that page, give him no sprite, and make him eiher above or below the player.

Um, there's a command called 'erase event'.
If you want it permanently gone, for the next time you go to that map, you can just use a switch.
