need help with battle charas.

ok i have rpg maker 2003 i have created my character's face, and his walking figure but when i import the battle character it wont show up as a selectedable one so how do i make is so i can use my created character for the battles i have battle sheets

Q: I imported a battle character but I cannot use it in my game! Why not?
A: You have to manually set up how you want the poses to look. Go to the Database, Animations 2 tab. Select a RTP battle character you do want to use in your game. Click on the poses tab, then the set button. Set the pose from the graphic you imported. Do this for all the poses. You probably want to change name. Then go back to the hero tab and select your the set you modified in the drop-down Battle Sprite menu.
