I figured it out once using pictures, but I would not recommend it.

You can use more than one event to make a charaset, but sometimes it jumps for a split second and the two (or however many events you use to make the larger charaset) don't look like they are connected.

Yeah, i don't recomend using battle animations. If anything, use pictures, because you have a lot more controll of them on the screen. The only thing with pictures and battle animations, is that they'll be displayed over anything, even over tiles where a charset is supposed to be under. The only way to get around that would be to make everything where you're supposed to be 'under' a picture file.

IF you really want to use large charsets, use rmxp, just use rm2k3 graphics, the charsets can be as large as you want.

If you only want it for one part, then yeah, use rm2k3 and use pictures, it'll be some work, but yeah. If you really want to do this, I'll go through how to do it with you.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN
