FF6 is the easiest FF of all. There's little to no need to plan out battles ahead of time, equiptment is easy to get, money is easy to get, magic can be cast several times before you need to refill ( where as you can just then use Osmose instead of items), using Esper level bonuses you can make every character into a physical, magical, and speed machine with high health and MP, and once you get Ultima the game basically becomes stagnet in battles.

It's still a great game, but it's really not hard at all. The only thing I'm having trouble with are the bonus dungeons on the GBA version, and that's because: I'm at a way lower level than I should be, the dungeon "requires" you have at least 12 people for the 3 split parties, (where I've only bothered to get back 8 characters) and I've only gathered a few extra Espers.

EDIT: I'm not saying anything bad about the low leveling thing. I think it's cool that you try to make the game harder. I'm just saying that I'm kinda confused as to how people found Atma weapon hard.

I know, I played the PS1 remake of the game and found atma to be horribly easy. And I am almost always way underleveled for any boss battle.

I did, just now. Insanity in a box.

Anyone who wants to see FF6 being beaten on the lowest possible average levels:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74yv5UhhI5k

2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQiLoCxWLp4

3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9wd79jKJEo

Kefka http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfVysp8Vx5k

The difference between this and other LLG games is that maybe 1 or 2 people have 128%+ Magic Evade. I spread things out evenly. In short, they'll get a good whacking from the enemy.

Enjoy.

What the hell? I only watched the Kefka one, but that's gay.

The relics completely take away the low lever hamper you've got on MP, and the fact that Kefka only had 2 turns over the course of 6 minutes really makes me think.

It's an emulator for the SNES.[/B]

I know what it is, but you can also make tool-assisted speedruns on that.

It is not a "fact" that Kefka had 2 turns. He had 6 and 2 counterattacks. After a certain point he counterattacks with Meteor and Ultima. It is not possible to keep up with these and Goner.

Unless you would prefer watching me use Rasp on him for 3 hours, because that is the only alternative. But you probably knew all that.

You should watch the others. I'm sure plenty more excuses to bitch can be found in them.

Could you elaborate?

Slow down game, do the entire game in the shortest amount of time while recording it, then compile the whole thing and put it up online.

That's basically the idea of a speedrun.

Yeah.  Here's me doing some stuff in MMX, using ZSNES' feature to slow down things. First try with it.

I watched all of it (Good choice for a stage, loved that music.)

Your button setup must be better than mine, because I can't execute some things due to keyboard limitations (Charging + dash + jump + left arrow key.)

It's pretty good. You didn't make many mistakes at all.

(Incidentally, if you aren't going for a 100% X-Buster stage, the powered up Armadillo Shield thing makes climbing the side of the tower a cakewalk)

Bluhman, just so you know, there's also an option in where you can just go back in time and fix your mistakes.
