Look, if you're all super serial about this, you gotta do pretty much exactly what Archem listed on page 2.
Essentially the last part of the entire project is the animating itself.

I think actually having a volunteer with the skill and willingness to do the animation is a rather big step. No sense putting too much effort into this if there's nobody that actually has the ability to make it happen.

I'm still working on mine. I gave up on the pen idea and did it in paint so it would fit but something still looks wrong. Hmmmm...
