Eeeeh, not such a good idea.  :\

Maybe it's just my opinion, but World of Warcraft characters do not make good character sets.  The bodies are completely different proportions, making detail for armor (which, admit it or not, all you WoW haters reading this, the armor really is pretty detailed :P) hard to put into a character set.

Well, and there's the thing of, you know, any important humanoid NPC is any where from 8 to 60ish feet tall.

So final fantasy characters who got even more detailed clothing makes good charsets?

No, but everything is possible although you'll probably have to cut some minor details so you have space for the important ones. Nothing huge. It works.
I did Samus... 9 times. I can't have every little twitch of her armor but enough for the player to see the difference between the Varia suit and the power suit.
