Help! Music is Lagging?!

You know how you can use MP3s in RPG Maker 2003?
Well I was and all was good for months...
But I recently did a recovery on my computer and now going back to RPG Maker I discover a little problem.
The music is... Laggy.  The midis are not, the game is not, the suffix are not, just the mp3 music.

Here's the weird part... When I enter the program I can play them with the media tester just fine.  Then when I load the game it's laggy.  When I exit the game and play them in the tester again, they're suddenly laggy there too.

Help me if you can.
