I'm still alive

Well, mostly. I've been pretty busy in the last few months, but I still drop in here occasionally to see how you losers are doing.

So, about a year ago, some of you might recall that I wrote a short story called "The New Life" and put it up here. The thing is, I was kind of in a creative slump around that time - it's not that I had writer's block, I just didn't feel like writing anything. But after writing TNL, I felt inspired again, so I started writing fanfiction.

Yeah. Well, it's nothing really embarrassing - it's all over-the-top and pretty silly, and not at all serious in any way. But the point is, it got my creative juices flowing even more, enough that I was inspired to start writing more serious original fiction. Hence...

My research tells me that the "web serial novel" is a thing, so I decided to go that route instead of trying to get published or anything like that. (I'll be the first to admit that I'm nowhere near good enough for that.) At the moment, there isn't much on there: I've put up The New Life (though it's quite a bit different than the original story) and the first chapters of three new stories: Emperex (giant robot story), Action Sue (fanfic parody) and The Mask of Night (middle-fantasy detective story). The former two are more standard novels, while the latter is intended to be a series of stand-alone stories with an overarching plot. I have lots more ideas for stories, so I'll be posting those too once I complete some of the stuff already on my plate.

As for my fanfics (yes), I have two ongoing stories: TGWTG Rangers (Power Rangers with internet reviewers) and The Eternity Dodecatrilogy (which is... I don't really even know anymore). There's a few other complete ones in my profile, which I will put a link to here. Again, it's mostly just silly stuff without any semblance of continuity or logic, but feel free to leave comments there too. (As a side note, one of my fics got a TV Tropes page and a dramatic reading, neither of which are by me. I'm quite proud of that accomplishment.)

I'll be updating both the blog and GigaBob once a week each for sure, but probably more. The important thing is that I really want feedback - I don't have a very realistic view of my own abilities (either I love everything I write or I hate it), so I want to know what you guys like and where I can improve. And of course, I want to keep you guys entertained and possibly enthralled.
