In Rm2K3 Is it possible to protect things such as charsets and music and anything basically from being copied or used, possibly even make it so a person can't view it? Is that possible? If so how?

I don't think there's a way to write-protect your work. The best you can do is put your signature on stuff you've created; if you've only edited it, you don't deserve full credit for it. Hopefully, other spriters will respect your signature and leave it or reference you as the original creator.

A while ago, I saw a patch for RM2k, to where it would protect all of your resources, not sure exactly how it worked, but you should search it on google.

In the resource manager, you can choose to save a file as a .xyz file that can only be opened by rm2k(3), if someone knows what a .xyz is they'll be able to easily get around it, but it might give you some protection from nOObs.

Crazy?! I was crazy once... They locked me in a rubber room. I didn't like it there. I died there. They buried me in a hole in the ground. The daisies grew down and down and tickled my nose. I laughed so hard it drove me crazy. . . Crazy?! I was crazy once.... *Head a'splodes*

You know on those websites where you right-click and it pops up with a message saying "Please do not copy my work", or something like that? Well, there must be some way to do that with resources, surely?
The biggest copying danger is n00bs who see your sig, put it in MS Paint (That's the best editing program they have) and just use the eraser tool to remove your sig. Arh. I hate it when people do that.
Or when people see a picture someone else made, not wanting it to be a resource, just for fun, and turn it into a resource, then claim they made it all. Just do one thing for me. Look on the forum gaming board at Horde of the Abyss. Check out the pictures there which people have edited. Then search "Barney" on the Complete Resources, and check the monsters page. I thank you for your time.

Uh, they're different pics. Maybe edited from the same thing, but different. Sufficdiently so that even if he did edit an edit, he could edited it from the original with the same amount of effort made to make the new edit.
As for that web page comparison, those are two ENTIRELY different things. The web page one is a javascript trick(easily bypassed), while protecting your files requires more complicated methods.
