Terminology of Racism

At dinner today my family and myself were gathered around the dining room table chatting as we do. The subject of racists terms came up. I don't like racism, BUT, if u have a friend of diffrent origins, colour etc, and he/she finds it ok for u to call him a "term" ie ******, and he calls u one back, I find it ok. What's strange is that u can get in hell **** if anyone hears u speaking like that to each other. I have nothin wrong wid it if their is mutual agreement upon the use of these "terms". I mean, I'm 'insultied' about my height, yet I don't freak about it.

Creepy, I was talking about this last night. But what steams me is the fact that if I even call a person black then I'm instantly a racist, but if they call me anything from white to cracker it's not. I just don't understand that.

That's true. In my school there are lot of things like this. Few days ago I walked to my class as usual, but this time some Iraq students of our school stopped me and said that my shoe touched his shoe and now I must give all my money to him, as a complainment.

Of course I said that hell no, who wouldn't? One of them said to me that I was a ****ing racisist and I don't deserve to live. I decided to be silent and go away from the scene, but then one them grabbed my shoulder and shook me and said something about me being a racisist again and asked when I my school ends so that they can come to kick my *** so badly that I would need a hospital after that.

I said that my schoolday would end at 4.30 pm and they believed it and let me go. Really my schoolday was over much earlier.

Pretty nice, those Iraq people.

well, the reason why that's considered an insult if not said by a black person is because it's a term in the past that white people used to call black people. then, later on in the future, black ppl calling black ppl the N word is a word for "brother" or something. i can't explain it 100% because i am not black. i could go search the internet for deeper explainations, but no.. that's the way things are. leave it that way

if u have friends who are black and allows you to call him that word, then limit it to them and them only. walking around in public and calling each other that word could get yourself shot, and maybe even sued.

i know u could get sued because there was this time before when me and my friends were in the bus (when i was in 6th grade), and there was this tourist from America who was black (knew it cuz of his accent). one of the idiot friends of mine just had to stick his head out of the bus and say the N word to him. the tourist threw his lighter or something (donno what it was but it was small and shiney.. ooo.. shiney..) and cracked the window of the bus which caused the bus to stop. the bus driver opens the door and gets out of the bus to go loco all over the tourist, but the tourist ignores the driver and goes to the 2nd deck of the bus, which where we were at. all of us were scared like.. OMFG! i got surprised cuz he didn't do anything to us. my friends were all cocky how he even went up to the 2nd deck of the bus and did nothing. i felt guilty even tho i had nothing to do with it.. i stayed away from those guys for a few days. next day, the tourist shows up in our school in the afternoon with a few policemen and pointed out the guy who called him the N word. that dick then pointed every single one of us. good thing i got dragged out of it because i had alot of friends who saw me stay away from those guys after the event. teachers knew me because of my conduct in school and agreed to pull me out of the mess.. anyways.. the tourist sued them and got the last laugh cuz all the parents of the accused had to beg thier children out of the mess and the tourist did that, except for the guy who called him the N word.. man.. the guy who called him the word thought he had the last laugh.. it turned out the other way.

i know it's boring to read all these long assed stories i write from my experience but as a good friend in High School said to me
 

People should learn from morals

and hey, i do find it true in a way. i did hang out with them in the future, but they learned their lessons.

i could say more and more.. but then again, maybe not cuz i recommend this topic be dropped.

heh.. that complaint is not even close to racism. that complaint is just plain stupid. tell ya what.. i had similar cases in my freshmen year in high school. make sure u have a lot of big friends tho.. the ones i had in Highschool were automatically friends of mine cuz they knew me from Primary School and knew my elder siblings. walk around the school with those big friends and when u see one of them alone, just give them some violentish eye contact. he'll certainly call his friends and go after you. stay in crowded places. if they do anything to you, let them, dont do anything back, even if u loose an eye =P oo.. and when the arguement starts and when he goes "Why did u look at me in a bad way!?" and just go "i never had" then he calls you liar and just deny and deny and deny until they start to kick your butt. and wee.. you lie there beaten up into pulp, eventually, those kids will run away and no one will try to help u out so just lay there and wait for a teacher to help u up. he asks you who are the suspects and you tell him and then call up a few of the people who witnessed the whole thing. u get a black eye, a broken rid, loose a few teeth, but those things can recover.. a bad note in their permanent record cant. =P

True. There's a black guy at my school (I really hate saying it like that, but I can't think of another phrase). He pushes people around, thinks he's smarter/superior etc... You know, the works. If anyone stands up to him, he calls them racist. But the worst thing about it is that he thinks, because of the way that black people are often targets of racism, that it is impossible for him to be racist.

See, racism is a two way thing. It can work in any way.

Hmmm... If you say 'rasist' words in a friendly way, to a friend, they're not racist- racism is the feeling that goes with the words. A word is nothing.

Thats what many would classify as a "load of crap." And they would be right. Well not literally, but... you know what I mean. They are some new kind of bullies.

In my last post? No, I haven't been sarcastic, dunno if it looks like that... I mean that when those who say people racisist and fight after that usually say to the teachers that they were insulted with a terrible way and so they don't get any punishment.

You did misunderstand me. I meant the whole thing them calling you racist was crap. It's so much a bully thing, and the racist is just an excuse. And a lame excuse at that.
