Just a musical question...
« on: May 25, 2005, 07:24:10 PM »
How would you classify the powerful latin music in video games, like "Liberi Fatali" or "One Winged Angel". And besides that, would anyone happen to know some artists in that field. I'd like to know.

AKA Desimodontidae. If you're seeing this profile, Im probably at school.

If i were a clown, would you hold me when I'm down?/I wish I had someone to make me drown/So many people don't know that it's so damn hard to be a clown/I am the clown with the giant frown/My heart is in a state of being upside down...

Tracks like 'One Winged Angel' and 'Liberi Fatali' are reminiscant of classical choir works such as Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' - If you want to listen to other similar videogame tracks, check out Mitsuda's work on the Xenosaga soundtrack ('Miracle' and 'The Ressurection' are particularly notable) and the 'Opening Theme' of Final Fantasy XI.

I couldn't exactly define the type of music it is, but I would say that is more classical and opera than anything else. It's almost like a bridge between different genres.
