Anyway, you could have just made the black transperant when you imported it...

You don't even have to. RPG Maker (my copy, anyway) automatically selects black as the transparent color when you import.

So does mine, but it has to be exactly black (#000000). That one's a little off (#050003), so it wouldn't automaticly select it.
