Okay, I've begon to work on my old project again, that I started on way back in 2003. The story can be read in my old
thread
Anyway, I'm gonna release a demo real soon (probably b4 the 17th). A long one with almost 6 hours of play!
Features:
CMS w/ FF9 equipment skill learning system and timer
at least 80% non-rtp
World Map (Not world map meant as a field, but as a map)
Hero's size is decreased on the world.

Looks good, but 'cause the 2 faces don't have that border the other 2 have they look kinda weird lined up.
Still looks killer though.

I just read the entire old topic. I liked how the job system looked. Real impressive. And the CMS is awesome. Looking forward to more.

Thanx! With a lil luck the demo might be completed on tuesday or so. The coding is all done the only thing I need is to betatest the last 50% of the demo.

Tnx I appreciate that. however I've scrabbed that idea and is now using an FF9 style skill learning system where you learn skills from your equipment (Only from weapons in my game however).

hey I'm playing your game sephrocks ^^
I'm only up to the caves though =/
But I gave a tip for you, you should add some clouds to your world map, and slow down the character, it helps add a sense of scale
anyways, I'm back to the game.

So far so good. The only thing that I mind is the contrasting facesets. Try to make all four of them the Roco versions so to reduce contrast. Otherwise, it looks good enough.

Yeah, I might be able to help a bit on the soundtrack and maybe some ripped monsters too.
And I find it sweet that you're inserting a bit that's like FF9.
FF9... Ah, such a sweet game.
Oh well, just ask when you need a bit of help.
I must warn you though, I'm not able to do alot.
