Would it be wrong to dump my earlier creations?
« on: June 25, 2005, 04:37:53 AM »
Hello, I use the Rpgtoolkit, it's a small, open source game maker.
(Can find here:  Toolkitzone

My game has it's own original sprites that I made from sratch. (I only used a template.)

However, they're crap...and I mean CRAP.

Now,should I keep my prized possesions. Crap or not, I worked hard on them.

Or should I use the sprites here, great and detailed that they are....

Yeah. You are your worst critic. Get input from others on their quality before deleting em.

You doubt that the biggest promoter of RPG Toolkit in Charas doesn't have a copy? Zip them up and poist em and let me look at em.

I'm a TKer in the fact that I promote and used to code for it way back during the early version 2 days. But I got bored of making games. It's still way better than stuff like RPG Maker, albeit RMXP is nearly as good as it with Rubyscript.

But the new site and crap? Nah.

By the way, they look pretty good, but you should consider adding an extra pose for walking, at least for diagonal walking. There should be right foot sticking out, standing still, and left foot sticking out for it to look semi-good.

Well, There is two footed walking but it's kinda hard to tell, and plus; the villagers aren't meant to have many frames, they go too fast to notice anything anyways...
(I'm using version two might I add, TK3 runs too slow on my PC....)

And you gotta admit...the blue armoured girl's battle animation sucks....

And it does get VERY tiring making sprites constantly....

Edit: Hair is also another problem....I can't get it to look any better, and it always looks the same as everyonelse's.....
