I'm going to say that Grandy has said what I have been wanting to say for a very.long.time.

I semi-agree with Robotam but I think that proposal is too abstract and doesn't actually accomplish anything.  If I thought we were all mature enough to drop the whole issue and move on, I'd suggest it.  However, charas has proven time and time again that they can not.  I do not ask something of someone (or group of someones) that I know more than likely will not be done.  Sorry Robotam, looks like your ideas are too mature for the current overall mindset of charas.

I still propose oooog's idea of an arguing forum called: (Extended Discussion) and a venting forum called: (Shout)

For the full details about this, check page 2 of Kijuki's "Stuff" thread.

I am just one member who sees things the way Grandy and Robotam see them, trying to make a difference.  I probably won't, but the best thing I can hope to do is to keep trying, because I'm not the type to sit by a war or participate in it.

I am with you, Robotam, but this won't be the end. Soon, someone else is going to be flamed through PMs (I have a feeling it's going to be me), and it's going to start all over again.

These are my two cents.

This doesn't works, its just giving him why to continue doing that, hiding the problem will only cause it to come back later with more strengh(I like totally forgot how do you spell that) than before.

[...]

First, we all have to accept this place HAS a problem in the moment.
This is what I have always said. Both things. Face the problem. Don't avoid it. You all say "we don't have a problem here at the moment." Yes, AT THE MOMENT, but when it's not "at the moment" things go shitty.

No, the conflicts are NOT started by the ones who make threads. There are enough people, even in politics, who are ignored by the crowd because that person talks nonsense, or something really offensive. A conflict starts when somebody is arguing against it.

These words are only told by the ones who don't want to listen, who keep on doing what HE wants to do, not giving **** about other's opinion. These people tend to start the conflict sooner.

I only have dreams to return back to the old Charas, where we worked and helped each other on games because we liked to.

Do you think I don't see, do you think I'm blind to it? Do you think I'm just ranting? It's because I have a dream of a returned harmony. And one day I know that'll come true. Where we exchange our creative ideas, and well... as gamers and possible future game makers.

We should not always give up on our dreams, this one, the one of my friends, and the one of my story are ones I'll never let go of no matter what happens. I won't give up on any of that.

That was the point behind my song's title, "Never Die".

I won't give up on these dreams of mine, maybe you can, but I can never... and it's not just because I'm a mod, it goes a bit deeper, and I don't think I quite understand myself. This place holds history to me... it's my home on the net.

This may be one of our must unglorious days but we always pull through... and we'll do it again
These are great words, however, it seems that most have lost this dream. I still dream of the old Charas. I know we can't take it back, because of the way we are stuck in, well, the moment. We can't get out of it.

What I want to say with this is, get your heads out of your butts and wash your ears. Clean your eyes, and shut your piehole. Think, just THINK before saying something, before SCREAMING something. You all blame it on ONE person, without ever thinking what YOUR role was in the conflict.

I admitted I was wrong for a big part when RRWP came here. Yes, he was an *** himself, but I helped in everything. Some of us even admitted their wrong, but it wasn't just RRWP who did everything here. I did play a part in his leaving. I believe he just left the place, if I'm right, I need to ask Alex about it.

RRWP was actually the thing that opened my eyes, and even after that I felt that there was something going terribly wrong with Charas. Up until the arrival of Lord Raffles I wasn't sure, until the moment when somebody asked a banning for Lord Raffles. Then I found out what was really wrong. I don't protect Lord Raffles, but we did NOT give him a fair chance. At least most of you didn't. Sure, I did act mean towards him mostly, but I was also fair with him when he opened less provoking topics, heck, I even agreed with some of what he said.

I believe most mods and admins agree with what I said, especially Darkfox. I believe he realised the same thing I did, and I am sure he felt that tiny thing, the same thing that got me demoted. Of course, Darkfox got into deeper ****, by not consulting a psychiatrist (a good one) for his problems in the real life (shithead :P) but he survived. He also realised that the easiest way is not always the best way.

His case was different, yet the same in a way. He wanted to escape life, the easiest way, while he could also learn from it, the hard way. I think he will now choose the hard way. It is hard, but in the end it pays off.

You all took the easy way, by insulting everyone who is even a bit like Pop or anybody else after Pop. I'm not counting RRWP, because he never got banned, and I see no reason to have him banned. But like I said, it's easier doing it the easy way, but in the end the hard way pays off.

I hope you will read this, DF, because although I lost respect after you almost wanted to kick the bucket, I still respect you for the fact you put down the weapon before triggering it.

Learn from this. I'm not asking for new rules prohibiting you from scaring away the "retards", but I do ask you to learn. Learn, goddamnit! Learn!

It's still cold! GODDAMNIT! IT'S STILL COLD!

On another note, who the **** was Hector?

There is something I do not understand one bit, at all. Osmose was the one that flamed, and Charaman was to blame.

Why?

I'm sure it would have been better if Osmose would at least tried to apologize, but he didn't even get that.

Guys listen this is charas....we can do better than this we don't need to make nemies or allies.  Ok somone flamed the board its only a mistake lets all take a deep breath and calm down alittle.

Since i am a newbie i would'nt know better but i think this flaming stuff can be solved so everyone should just forget what happened in the past and move on. We would'nt want to mess up the charas name :D .

I agree with you Gary, but once again, I've been ignored.  Not surprised.  If charas ignored conflict as well as they ignored reason, we wouldn't be in this mess.

As you can see we are already arguing. Do you really think we need to keep this up?
I did not think it would be over now but it's a beginning, if I could get myself a small group of people who agrees with me (which it seems I already have) we could together try to figure something out.
But I am sure that we need no more arguing, if we do we may just keep it at forever and I don't think anyone here even likes to agrue. I know I don't.
And charas has learned from the past, the community contest is an example of that. Charas isn't perfect and will never be but what we're at is just stupid.

If this charas cannot forget this, we are a pathetic community.

When Raffles was banned, we opened up Pandora's box. We're fighting amongst ourselves, forcing everyone to take their side. And he keeps returning in different accounts.

But even in Pandora's box, there was a bit of hope. Those of us who take sides are blind to it, we will continue fighting the other side no matter what we say otherwise. But those of you who are enlightened can see it, and hopefully you'll use it to stop this thing one way or another.

It's up to the few children of Charas who can see the truth to save the entire board. Good luck.
