Tim Hunter is an "Opener", who has the ability to create alternate universes which, yes, have alternate versions of himself in them. DUN DUN DUUUUN.

Neil Gaiman says he holds no ill will for Rowling and that the similarities are probably a result of them both being inspired by the same things. What a nice guy.

You don't get points for that, seeing as The Asylum specifically makes movies that mimic upcoming blockbusters in an attempt to gain money off the backs of people with dyslexia.
