i was wondering if there was a way to make a capture and holdong system liek in pokemon, because i am making a fan game. Also is ther a way to get the battles to show up like that in the games

No, no and no (I really mean yes). Don't make a fan game, especially about pokemon. Pokemon is dead, people hate it, you'll out grow it soon, and you'll have wasted a lot of time. Plus, people also hate fan games, so people will double hate you.

Unfortunately, doing such a system would require a lot of work. It would probably save you a lot of hassle to do it yourself.

You don't see me running over to his house and killing him do ya? Well, I'm not preventing him from doing a thing. He asked if it's possbile, and I told him yes, that's if he can see past the 'no no and no' part and look at the 'I really mean yes' part unlike that of what you couldn't.

As for his question, well...its possible. But its a long string of common events that Im too lazy to type up. I believe there was a system like that in one of the older games on charas.

And, yes, it's very doable. You need ALOT of pictures and at least 5 different menus. You'll need ripping skills or a lot of free time to surf the net to find resources, plus you'll need a good vocabulary of what varibles, cords, switchs, conditions, and etc do, and that's all for the CBS and CMS. Then, you've gotta make the game....

i ahve to have htat much stuff? Geez i might just make it where you are a trainer with only four pokemon and just use the RPG2k3 battle system. But i still need to find,umm, shipsets because the ones here have a book shelve and when you put that in there is part of a computer on also, think  they put every thing kinda close. Does anyone actualy know where real good chiipses are.

P.S. I think asking the last question should go on another board but might as well ask here then go there.

To the guy that said he can make chip sets and stuff... thank you. I just want chip sets ripped from all the fire red/leaf green towns/ dungeons. I have some face sets i think. I will check since my school just closed and i have alot of free time.


But yea if you would like you can make me some chip sets. I will credit you if you like. I am not usre if i have battle animations. I will check then tell you wich pokemon i would like animations for.
