Coding Problem

If anyone here has ever played Rsident Evil 4, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'm trying to make a system to where you walk over to something, a pic shows below you (say, '[Enter] To Climb') and you hit the button. Well, I have the pic, but, when you hit the area where the pic appears, you can't move. When you hit [Enter], you climb the ladder. I can't seem to fix the non-moving prob. Could I possibly get some help?
