I believe it's "Don't ever get stuck in the sky, when you're high..." Well, since I'll probably be grounded soon, and because I feel insulted that Ed thinks I only use a bare minimum of frames, here's an incomplete, unrefined version of my next animation. I know it needs work, and that's why I said "unrefined", and I said "incomplete" because, well, it isn't done. Yet. Tell Me what you think of the current version.

in the end is sorta gets choppy, and you didn't quite use the FE sprites like they are intended (I both played fire emblem, memorized the animations, and make several animations using RPG Maker, so I know how they look). Like, his jump is a bit short handed. But, those are minor flaws that I really don't care about.

All in all, fine but for the very end.

Edit- wait a second, did he just block that attack with his fist?

Well, there isn't an easy, entirely general "jump", so I had to improvise. And, like I said, it's "unrefined", and so some stuff is a bit jumpy. And although he doesn't so much block it, he slaps it to the side and grabs the blade to prevent the attack somewhat. In any occasion, it's just an animation.

EDIT: And, by the way, I've never played FE, mostly because I keep blowing my money on other ventures, so I'll work with it more accurately once I buy one of them. At this point, all I have to work with is SSBM movements for reference. Sorry if it's too inaccurate.

well, the only thing I could suggest if you wanted to find out what the animations look like is search google for Fire Emblem Roy Gif or something like that. (The guy's name is Roy)

I know that much from SSBM. I might check it out, but chances are I'll keep running things the same as I have been so far: using them to do what I invisioned, even if it means using them in an unconventional manner. But, at least looking might help me modify my ways.

It would be nice if you could give him more pieces, like running, jumping, ducking (crouching), jumping backwards, etc. Otherwise, I might as well just make a sprite sheet for you! :D  But I won't. I'm just too lazy...

Try finding ULead gif animator 2.0 or one of the other versions of it. That's what I'm using. The only problems I have is that I have to make each frame in MS Paint.
