Anyways, how do I make with Charas Generator to work on RPG maker 2003?

Charsets are exactly the same between Rm2k and Rm2k3. The only things that change are:

1. Backdrops are now slightly larger in terms of height. Rm2k ones will still work, however.

2. There is a Battle2 folder which the original didn't have, basically massive battle animations.

3. Due to the change in battle systems, it is necessary to use both BattleCharsets and Battle Weapons.

4. Frame is now added: allows you to have a little "picture frame" around your game, or whatever. I generally don't use this as it is very rigid: use pictures instead.

5. System2 is the system inside battles.

NOTHING ELSE CHANGES. So, the charas generator will still successfully churn out Facesets and Charsets for your project.

As for your game, I'm afraid I share DragonBlaze's views. There's no reason whatsoever to scrap your game, as you should make a game for your own enjoyment paramount to that of others, and the best way to get better at using RPG Maker is simply to make many games on it. Seriously, you improve so much just through making many projects... the current one I'm on (and the only one worth putting on charas project :p ) is my 4th project. Keep at it, after a while you'll look back and see how much progress you've made. I know I have.

WHY does the evil guy want to destroy the world?  Destroy-the-world plots can work, but you need a pretty darn good reason as to why the antagonist wants the destruction.  No, just because he's evil is not good enough.

ok, here's the reason why the evil wizzard wants to do it:

When he was young, people always treated him cruel.  He tried his best to get some respect from his family, but they hated him.  He decided to run away from home.  He found an old, abandoned castle after he did quite a bit of running away.  He went in it and found a library full of books.  Since he had nothing else, he started reading the books.  He saw that the books had magic spells in them.  He learned how to use them and became powerful.  Once he finished reading the last book the library had, he decided to use his magic to get revenge on those people.  After all, they always treated him like a peice of scum.  He used powerful summuning spells to send armies of monsters to his home island and destroyed it.  He decided that he should rule the world if he wanted to make sure that nobody treated him the way the people on that island did.  He read in a book about a powerful artifact with power to rule the earth.  He decided that he should get it to rule the world and make sure he gets what he wants.

What do ya think?

The reason isn't that bad, but I don't think its really too good either. Some people treated him like crap, so now he wants to destroy the whole world? I can see him getting revenge on the town that he was from or what not, but something bigger has to happen to him if he wants to destory the world. Maybe you could have something where after he started using all this dark magic to destory the first town, the magic had a side effect and now the darkness is slowly eating away his soul making him less and less human every day. My point is, something else has to go on for him to want to destory the world.

And it probably woudln't be good for him to "destory" the world, have it more like he wants to rule it.
