Summer Plans?
« on: May 25, 2006, 12:29:31 PM »
As we know, summer vacation is approaching, and we all have some kind of plan. summer started yesterday for me, and I made a list of things I want to get done:
-Practice sax
-Memorize 5 pages of music
-Summer reading
-Learn more HTML and Java
-Learn PHP and RGSS
-Do my job at another forum XD
So, what are your guys' plans?

I'm going to try to get in a coma till the next season of Lost starts.

Seriously, working, having fun and catching up with this season of tv. There are some nice shows I didn't had time for that came this season.

Lol, when I first read over that, I thought you said something else instead of sax.

Anyway, I plan to be good enough with DarkBasic to be able to code a (simple) game by the end of the summer, I want to learn how to do hair and UV mapping in lightwave, and I want to get a demo out for my game, and hopefully get close to finishing it by the end of summer.

I also want to move up from a bagger to a cashier where I work and then I'll be able to make $400 a week  :)

^ Laughs at DB cause he (probably) works at a grocery store

Well, I'm gonna be working, full time, coming home, and either going to band practice, or going to work out. After that's done, I'll come home and play video games (there's a lot I plan to buy this summer). I also plan to get drunk almost every night on the weekend, so Friday/Saturday lol, cause I will be 19, legal drinkin age here

And ya, I know, some of you in other countries are like 16 and are legally able to... ya basterds (Family guy)

I've already gone through orientation and will be volunteering during the summer, as well as probably spending some time looking up local colleges and applying for scholarships.

On the less responsible side, probably spending time either on my buddy the computer or over my buddy Ryan's house playing games.

College, get my vehicle back, college, Move out of my current apartment, college, get a tablet, college, get a wireless mouse, college,  enter gaming tourney, college, win the gaming tourney, college, buy some books, college, probably buy a ps2 if money supplies, college, watch FIFA, college, keep watching FIFA, college.

About it. There'll be nothing interesting this summer but college, since I do not have a summer break

... Ah yes, perhaps if a war starts in summer I'll be going somewhere to avoid it, not because I would be afraid, but because I have plans.

'Summer' starts once school is over for me and that's not before mid-June so that leaves me plenty of time to plan ahead.

-Lots of partying
-Watching Alias Season 1 to 5 on DVD
-Lots of DnD
-Visit Ireland

That's what is already planned. Anything else will have to wait.

Yeah :(

When I went off looking for a job, I didn't want to work at a resturaunt or a grocery store. I applied at places like radio shack, best buy, cuircut city, game stop, but I never got any call backs. So I sunk low enough to a grocery store. However, the grocery store I work at pays really good, so I don't mind. You start off low at $7 an hour, you have a 30 day probationary period, after that, you get a 50 cent raise, once you turn 18 (which I will in july) you get a big raise, once you move from a bagger to a cashier (which I can in july), you get another big raise. So I'll be making something like $10 an hour, working 40 hours a week + time and a half on sundays and holidays = $400+ a week  :D For that much, I'd do just about anything. :p
